Advanced On-Camera Technique
This is the on-camera class you've heard about.

It was chosen by Columbia University for inclusion in its MFA program, and is highly recommended by top agents and casting directors. For the professional who wants to take his work to the highest level, this class prepares you to be a working artist on screen. You will be taught to make powerful choices, and delve deeply into scripts while becoming fast and flexible. With scenes chosen from Film and Television, actors learn how to share their work with the camera and to have an impact on screen. Each week’s class has a different focus including Continuity, and On-Camera Auditions for a Casting Director. All work is directed and taped with multiple cameras to create the experience of working on a professional set. Penny Templeton works with the actors to strengthen their technique and refine their approach through specially created exercises designed to enhance the actor’s work on screen. Simultaneously, Technical Director Hank Schob works with pairs of actors to develop the technical side of working on camera while blocking their scenes.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

At the end of the class the analyzed scenes are played back on our floor to ceiling movie screen so the actor can see and participate in his own process.

A top industry professional will be in attendance at the final class.
